When you rely on your vehicle’s electrics in tough, off-road conditions, we consistently recommend Redarc products. Redarc is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of vehicle and towing accessories. Their range can keep you safe both on- and off-road, and they have a solution for any rig you’re building.

We’re going to share some of our favourite Redarc products and why they’re the right choice for your next 4WD adventure!

Redarc Brake Controllers

If you’re towing a trailer, caravan or camper trailer, you need an electric brake controller. These controllers are wired into the tow vehicle’s electronics, allowing you to activate the trailer brakes simply by pressing the pedal.

Redarc’s electric brake controllers are class-leading. They offer two variants:

Tow-Pro Elite

The Redarc Tow-Pro Elite is the top of the range.

The Tow-Pro Elite is the only brake controller with an automatic mode for highway driving and a user-controlled mode for off-road use. This delivers smooth braking performance when you’re on the highway or a dirt road, while still providing control in off-road conditions.

Redarc’s Tow-Pro Elite is extremely flexible. It suits both 12 Volt and 24 Volt systems and electric or hydraulic trailer brakes, so it’s compatible with all passenger cars and light commercial vehicles.

Tow-Pro Classic

If you don’t need the automatic braking mode, the Redarc Tow-Pro Classic is the choice for you!

The Tow-Pro Classic brake controller offers a user-controlled mode that allows you to select your braking force by turning a dial. It features a classic design that’s based on Redarc’s most popular brake controller of all time, so it looks right at home in some of those older 4WDs.

While it doesn’t have an automatic braking mode, the Tow-Pro platform still provides the smoothest and safest electric braking experience on- and off-road. It’s suitable for 12 Volt vehicle systems and both electric and hydraulic trailer brakes.

Redarc Solar Panels

Heading off the beaten path and need power for your tools or campsite? Solar panels are the best way to stay connected!

Fixed Solar Panels

Redarc’s fixed solar panels are the most efficient way to charge your batteries on the go. They feature highly efficient monocrystalline cells and come in a range of sizes, from 60 Watts all the way up to 200 Watts.

The panels are suitable for 12V or 24V systems, and they can be used to charge lead acid, AGM and lithium batteries when paired with the correct charge controller.

Portable Solar Panels

If you need more flexibility, Redarc also provides a range of portable solar panels that can be set up once you’ve arrived at your destination. Portable solar panels deliver slightly less power, but they allow you to position the panels to capture more sunlight. That often makes them more effective than fixed solar panels.

These solar panels fold in half to make them compact, and they’re available in sizes ranging from 120W to 200W.

Solar Accessories

Redarc also carries everything you need to hook your solar panels into your dual battery setup. That includes MPPT charge controllers, Andersen plugs, wiring kits and remote battery monitors.

Make sure you talk to AAEAC before purchasing a solar charge controller! Redarc charge controllers may not be compatible with your battery system.

Redarc Dual Battery Systems

Get the power you need with a dual battery system! If you’re camping, heading off the grid or need power for your worksite, dual batteries are the answer. Redarc offers a range of components and accessories that ensure your batteries are always in perfect health:

Dual Battery Isolators

Battery isolators are designed to protect your batteries and vehicle from overcharging or being drained. Redarc offers smart battery isolators that ensure your alternator is delivering power where it’s needed most.

Redarc’s battery isolators come with their Smart Start technology. Smart Start automatically recharges your starting battery to full, and then diverts an excess power to your house batteries.

Dual Battery Chargers

Every dual battery setup needs a charging solution. For most people, a DC-DC charger is the most efficient way to ensure your house batteries always have power.

Redarc’s DC-DC chargers are compact and powerful. They can be installed in the engine bay or tucked away almost anywhere else on your vehicle.

Their range includes 12V and 24V chargers that deliver up to 50 Amps of DC power.

Battery Management

A Redarc battery management system is the best way to keep your batteries in top shape. These systems accept a variety of inputs (from your alternator, solar panels and AC charging) and deliver steady power to your batteries.

Redarc battery management technology can be configured to prioritise your solar input. That reduces fuel consumption and ensures your solar power is always being put to use!

Redarc Inverters

Dual battery systems are great, but sometimes you need serious power when you’re out on the trail. Redarc inverters deliver 240 Volts of pure sine wave power that’s suitable for all of your tools, equipment, lighting, cooking and personal devices.

The Redarc range starts at 350W and goes all the way up to 3,000W. They have 12V and 24V inverters to suit any dual battery setup, and Redarc makes installation simple by providing compatible wiring and accessories.

If you want to keep things really simple, we often recommend a Redarc integrated power system. These come with an inverter, control module, battery monitor, DC-DC charger, fuses and everything else you need.
